Mumbai, Nov 4 – Indian film stars Genelia D’Souza and Riteish Deshmukh celebrated a proud moment when their older son, Riaan, took his first solo flight from Mumbai Airport.
Genelia posted a heartfelt video to Instagram Stories. In the clip, she and Riteish wave goodbye to Riaan, who is now stepping into the world on his own. In the caption, she wrote, “First flight without us. It was always about firsts with us, and now we’re slowly getting used to the firsts without us. Go live, little ones, grow, experience life – Aai/ Baba/ Rahyo/ Flash will be waiting at home for you.” The post was full of emotion and excitement for the family’s new milestone.
Earlier, Riteish shared the family’s festive Diwali and Padwa celebrations. The video shows the couple applying milk, uptan, and oil to the boys in a traditional ritual. The children also made colorful rangoli designs, and Genelia performed aarti for them. The boys later returned the favor, bowing to their mother in a touching display of gratitude.
Riteish also posted a handwritten note from Riaan and his younger brother Raahyl. The sweet letter explained that the boys missed their father’s presence during the Diwali lunch because he was working on a shoot. Riteish responded on Instagram Stories, saying, “Aur jeene ko kya chahiye! Shooting for @rajashivaji is special, but receiving this letter from the boys makes it everlasting.”
The family’s posts highlight their bond and Genelia’s pride in seeing Riaan grow up, while also showcasing how Indian celebrations like Diwali and Padwa bring them together even when busy with work.
