Mumbai, Dec 11 (LatestNewsX) – Actress Riyaa Senn described a fan‑girl experience after crossing paths with the “Mambo No. 5” icon Lou Bega, calling the encounter “nothing short of magical.”
On Instagram, Riyaa posted a snapshot showing her side by side with the Sweet Like Cola star, both striking a pose as the camera clicked. Behind them, Lou Bega’s 1999 global hit – a reimagining of Pérez Prado’s 1949 instrumental – played softly in the background.
Her caption read: “Meeting the legendary Lou Bega was epic. He sang my dad’s favourite Mambo No. 5, and in that moment it felt like my Dad was weaving a little magic for me.”
Bega shot to worldwide recognition with the infectious “Mambo No. 5.” Known for his trademark hats, high‑energy performances and uplifting tunes, the singer has carved out a niche with his unique mambo‑pop blend. His catalog also includes hits such as “I Got a Girl,” “Sweet Like Cola,” “Boyfriend,” “Gentleman,” and “Give It Up.”
Riyaa launched her acting journey at the age of five, playing her mother’s daughter on screen for the first time. In 1991 she appeared as a child artist in the film Vishkanya, and her first commercial breakthrough came in 2001 with the comedy Style, directed by N. Chandra. She first caught public attention as a model when she featured in Falguni Pathak’s music video “Yaad Piya Ki Aane Lagi” at seventeen in 1998.
Recently, she had a cameo in the teen rom‑com Nadaaniyan, directed by Shauna Gautam. The film, starring Ibrahim Ali Khan, Khushi Kapoor, Mahima Chaudhry, Suniel Shetty, Dia Mirza, and Jugal Hansraj, follows a privileged South‑Delhi schoolgirl who hires a boyfriend‑for‑hire to get revenge on her family and classmates.
