Bollywood icon Rani Mukherjee and TV favorite Rupali Ganguly shared a heartwarming hug during the vibrant Durga Puja celebrations in Mumbai. The two stars posed in front of the stunning Durga idol, beaming with joy and affection in the photo that Rupali later posted on her social media.

Dressed to impress for the festivities, both wore elegant red and gold sarees that screamed tradition. Rani added a bold choker necklace to her look, while Rupali rocked a silk saree with a golden blouse and dangling jhumkas, perfectly capturing the playful spirit of Shindur Khela on Vijaya Dashami.

This Durga Puja pandal in North Mumbai holds deep roots—Rani’s grandmother started it 79 years ago, turning it into a cherished cultural tradition. Rupali keeps her family’s connection alive too; her late father, renowned filmmaker Anil Ganguly, helped organize the event for years. She makes it a point to attend every time, and this year, she beamed with extra happiness alongside her son, Rudransh.

Over the decades, the North Bombay Durga Puja has drawn crowds from the Bengali community and Bollywood’s elite, including stars like Priyanka Chopra, Alia Bhatt, and Karan Johar. This year’s event shone bright with Rani Mukerji, Kajol, Tanisha Mukherjee, and Ann Mukherjee greeting guests and leading the fun. Rupali jumped right in, soaking up the community vibes on this special occasion.
