Madhya Pradesh will witness more growth in coming years: Jyotiraditya Scindia

Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia brought some exciting news for Madhya Pradesh on Wednesday. Speaking at a public gathering in his Guna Lok Sabha constituency, he promised big growth in key areas like health, education, and industry in the coming years. Under the BJP-led state government, Madhya Pradesh is set to shine even brighter, he said.

Scindia highlighted how the state has seen massive development over the last decade, thanks to the “double-engine” setup—meaning both the central government in Delhi and the state government in Bhopal working hand in hand. He praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Mohan Yadav for their non-stop push towards economic growth and an industrial revolution. “Madhya Pradesh will soon emerge as a fully developed state,” Scindia declared confidently.

He added that Chief Minister Mohan Yadav is leaving no stone unturned to transform the destiny of Madhya Pradesh. “People have placed their trust in PM Modi, so now both the Centre and state governments are teaming up to build a stronger Madhya Pradesh,” Scindia told the cheering crowd.

This visit marks the start of Scindia’s three-day tour of Guna, where he kicked off several events and launched new development projects in Shivpuri, Ashoknagar, and Guna districts. After inaugurating a brand-new electricity sub-station in Shivpuri, he shared a personal touch: “Jyoti is the prefix in my name—Jyotiraditya—and today, I’ve brought light (jyoti) to you all. The Scindia family has always seen the people of Guna as our own family, and we’re always here for you.”

Scindia plans to hold more meetings during his stay in this family stronghold. Guna has a special place in his heart—he’s represented the Lok Sabha seat since 2002 (except for 2019-2024) first with the Congress party. In 2019, he lost to BJP’s K.P. Yadav as a Congress candidate, but after joining the BJP in 2020, he won it back in the 2024 elections.

Before him, his late father, former Union Minister Madhavrao Scindia, and his grandmother Vijayaraje Scindia held the seat from 1989 to 2002, making it a true Scindia bastion in Madhya Pradesh politics.
