In Mumbai on 27 November 2024, the entertainment outlet LatestNewsX reported that actress Sayantani Ghosh, who plays Maya Deshmukh in the Zee TV serial ‘Jagadhatri’, was talking about her experience working alongside the little star Pari Bhanushali, who portrays Gunjan.
Known for her performances in shows such as ‘Naaginn – Waadon Ki Agniparikshaa’, ‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 3’ and ‘Bigg Boss 6’, Sayantani now takes on the role of a media magnate and loving mother in ‘Jagadhatri’. The tender relationship she shares with the youthful Gunjan brings an extra layer of charm to the series, and she says Pari’s natural innocence keeps each scene flowing smoothly.
Speaking in a recent statement, Sayantani noted, “I bond really well with kids and my family knows this. Kids become fond of me very quickly. I’m a godmother in real life, so I’m constantly surrounded by my beautiful nieces and nephews. For me, working with children is not difficult at all, it actually comes naturally. Of course, you have to be patient because they’re kids.”
She went on to explain that children often swing between moods, sometimes sleepy, sometimes brimming with energy. In ‘Jagadhatri’, Pari’s Gunjan is a lively, talkative child, but her on‑screen persona is a quiet, sensitive girl who cannot hear or speak. “Before serious scenes, we gently ask her to calm down, and she listens so sincerely,” she added.
The plot of ‘Jagadhatri’ follows a neglected daughter who becomes a fearless undercover agent, balancing a double life that keeps viewers hooked. Farman Haider plays Shivay, bringing intensity, while actor Sonakshi Batra headlines the series as the title character.
Reflecting on the joy of working with children, Sayantani said, “Kids instantly lift my mood; their innocence, purity, and honesty are contagious. Their simple questions often make you pause, appreciate gratitude, and stay sincere. Working with children is always wholesome for me.”
She concluded, “Working with Pari has been one of the sweetest parts of my Jagadhatri journey. She’s full of energy, super chatty, and absolutely adorable. She loves makeup, and whenever I go for a touch‑up, she watches me with so much awe that we end up laughing together. Beyond her innocence, Pari is incredibly talented and works really hard for her age. She brings so much joy to the set, and working with her has been truly heart‑warming.”
