Shantanu Maheshwari has once again caught everyone’s attention with his impressive acting and natural chemistry on screen. Fans loved his lively pairing with Alia Bhatt in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film “Gangubai Kathiawadi,” and now they are raving about his recent work with Avneet Kaur in the upcoming movie “Love in Vietnam.”
In an exclusive chat with , Shantanu was asked about his secret to creating such believable chemistry with different co-stars. He smiled and said he didn’t really have a secret. “Maybe I just try to make people feel comfortable around me. But honestly, I think strong stories and honest performances are what bring out real chemistry. When the script is good and both actors are open, it shows on screen,” he explained.
Talking about his role in “Love in Vietnam,” Shantanu shared his thoughts on working with Avneet Kaur. He said he’s happy people are noticing the chemistry between them. “It comes from being comfortable and trusting each other. Both Avneet and I come from a dance background, so we have a natural rhythm. We’ve worked together before, which helped us understand each other better. Plus, the script had emotional scenes that allowed us to improvise and support each other — that’s what really made our chemistry shine,” he shared.
When asked about their silent moments and emotional expressions in the film, Shantanu explained that those powerful scenes come from a mix of personal feelings and dedicated acting. “It’s a little of both. Personal experiences do influence your performance. The script provides the structure, but to truly bring a character to life, you have to put yourself into it. That’s what makes the scenes genuine,” he said.
“Love in Vietnam” is produced by Blue Lotus Pictures, along with several other production houses. The film is set to release in theaters on September 12. Fans can look forward to seeing Shantanu and Avneet bring their characters to life with their authentic on-screen chemistry in this upcoming romantic drama.
