Shatrughan Sinha recalls Feroz Khan’s style, music and legacy on his birth anniversary

On Thursday, veteran Bollywood star and politician Shatrughan Sinha took to social media to honor the birth anniversary of the iconic Feroz Khan, sharing a touching tribute to the late actor and filmmaker.
Sinha, known for his role in classics like Kaala Patthar, posted nostalgic throwback photos on X (formerly Twitter). One snapshot captured the two friends relaxing with drinks, while a black-and-white image showed them on stage with others, bringing back memories of Bollywood’s golden era.
In his caption, Sinha wrote: “Remembering with love & fondness an extremely stylish unmatchable actor, filmmaker legendary #FerozKhan. He lives in our hearts with his fabulous body of work, songs, music & ambience created by his films. Long Live Feroz Khan! #BirthAnniversary.”
The duo had shared the screen in the 1973 film Kashmakash, alongside stars like Rekha, Ranjeet, and Padma Khanna.
This isn’t the first heartfelt nod to Feroz Khan’s legacy this week. Last year, his son Fardeen Khan marked the occasion with an emotional reel on social media. It featured a collage of photos tracing Feroz’s life—from his early days to family moments. Fardeen, famous for films like No Entry, captioned it: “15 years without you, and though time has passed, your presence is felt deeply in the lives of those you never had the chance to meet. Your grandchildren, the third generation of Khans, carry pieces of your fearless heart and unmatched spirit. They live with stories of the legend you were—your grace, your strength, and your timeless charisma. Though fate kept you apart, your essence runs through their veins, a bond unspoken but deeply understood. Taken from us too soon, but through them, your legacy endures in ways words cannot capture. Happy Birthday, pa. You live on through us, always. Laila & Fardeen.”
Born on September 25, 1939, Feroz Khan became a Bollywood powerhouse as an actor, director, producer, and editor. He starred in over 60 films, earning fame for his sharp style and charisma that defined an era. Hits like Arzoo, Safar, Mela, Apradh, Khotte Sikkay, Kala Sona, Dharmatma, Nagin, Qurbani, Janbaaz, and Welcome showcased his talent and swagger.
Behind the camera, he directed Prem Aggan and Janasheen, both starring Fardeen. Feroz Khan passed away on April 27, 2009, after battling lung cancer, but his influence on Indian cinema endures.
