Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty is celebrating a special moment as her husband, Raj Kundra, releases his Punjabi film “Mehar” on Friday. The actress shared a sweet look into this occasion on Instagram, showing her, Raj, and their son Viaan watching the movie together.
In the video, Shilpa gets her first autograph from Raj on a tissue paper. She jokes in the clip, “First autograph. Abhi tak cheque par leti thi main,” meaning she used to get signatures on cheques before. Raj writes a cute message for her, saying, “Raj loves you only.” Shilpa captioned the video, “My first autograph from my forever hero. Wishing you all the best for your debut in Punjabi cinema. I’m so proud of you and your honest performance in Mehar. May this film bring you great success.”
She also shared her good wishes for the film’s release, saying, “Wishing you and the entire team of Mehar all the luck. Rab MEHAR kare,” which means “May God bless with kindness.”
Shilpa and Raj’s love story began when they got engaged in February 2009. The couple, who also owned the IPL cricket team Rajasthan Royals, married later that year on November 22. They have two children – a son named Viaan, born in May 2012, and a daughter born through surrogacy in February 2020.
“Mehar” is a heartfelt story about Karamjit, a man from rural Punjab who struggles to restore his dignity as a father, husband, and son. Despite life’s hardships, Karamjit’s quiet determination helps him rise again and prove his worth to his family.
Currently, Shilpa Shetty was last seen in the film “Sukhee,” which was her first project as a director. The movie tells the story of Sukhpreet “Sukhee” Kalra, a 38-year-old Punjabi housewife who feels bored with her routine. She travels to Delhi for a high school reunion and, over seven days, reconnects with her youth, experiences new things, and finds herself again—balancing her roles as a wife, mother, and a woman.
Next, Shilpa will be seen in “KD: The Devil,” a Kannada action drama directed by Prem. The film features Dhruva Sarja in the lead role, alongside stars like Sanjay Dutt, V. Ravichandran, Ramesh Aravind, Reeshma Nanaiah, and Nora Fatehi. Fans are eager to see her in this exciting new project.
