Actress Shweta Basu Prasad just gave us major travel goals with her latest social media post. Fresh off wrapping up a film shoot, she jetted off to Gujarat’s stunning Rani Ki Vav, the iconic 11th-century stepwell that’s a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In a series of photos, Shweta poses amid the ancient carvings, soaking in the magic of this architectural wonder.
“Got a day off after wrapping my film’s shoot and headed straight to Rani Ki Vav, an 11th century architectural wonder! No 3D, no AI, no machines, just pure genius!” she captioned the pics. She even squeezed in a quick stop at the 15th-century Rudabai stepwell on her way to the airport, calling it “equally stunning.” Wrapping up with some wisdom, she added, “Yatha drishti.. Tatha Shrishti. Our ancestors were so cool! #ranikivav #rudabaistepwell #indianarchitecture.”
The images capture Shweta exploring the intricate details of Rani Ki Vav’s stepwell design, a true testament to ancient Indian architecture. Built without any modern tools, this Gujarat gem continues to amaze visitors with its blend of art and engineering.
On the work front, Shweta is all set to shine in the upcoming Maharani 4, starring alongside Huma Qureshi. Excited about the project, she said, “Being a part of a series that has gained massive praise is exciting. Maharani has redefined political drama in the Indian OTT space and getting to collaborate with Huma, who has brought Rani Bharti to life so brilliantly, is an honor. I hope my character brings a fresh edge to the narrative, that keeps the viewers on the edge of their seats.”
Maharani 4 drops soon on Sony LIV, picking up from the gripping story of Huma’s character navigating Bihar’s cutthroat politics. The cast also includes Amit Sial, Vineet Kumar, and Kani Kusruti. Fans of Indian web series and political thrillers, mark your calendars!
