Singer Kenny Loggins has asked for his song “Danger Zone” to be taken down from a meme Trump posted on Saturday.
In a statement released Monday, Loggins told Variety that his permission was never requested for the use of the track in an AI‑generated video that shows Trump, wearing a gold crown, dropping fecal‑matter from an F‑18 fighter jet onto “No Kings” protestors.
The clip was meant to respond to Saturday’s “No Kings” demonstrations in several U.S. cities, which protested the Trump administration’s immigration crackdown, crime policies and overall agenda.
In the video, a protester – believed to be activist Harry Sisson – bears the brunt of the artificial payload.
Loggins said: “This is an unauthorized use of my performance of ‘Danger Zone.’ Nobody asked me for my permission, which I would have denied, and I request that my recording on this video be removed immediately.”
He added that his music “has become part of something created with the sole purpose of dividing us” and urged people to use music as a unifying force. “We’re all Americans, and we’re all patriotic. There is no ‘us and them’—that’s not who we are,” he said.
Sisson posted on X on Sunday, “Can a reporter please ask Trump why he posted an AI video of himself dropping poop on me from a fighter jet? That would be great, thanks.”
Vice President‑elect J.D. Vance replied, “I’ll ask him for you Harry.”
The White House has not yet responded to a request for comment.
An image in the article shows the AI‑generated scene of Trump on a fighter jet, captioned “Donald Trump in a fighter jet cockpit, wearing a gold crown.”
