A clip of Tamil superstar Sivakarthikeyan walking into the office of acclaimed Bollywood director Sanjay Leela Bhansali has gone viral, sparking rumours that the actor might soon be breaking into Hindi cinema. The video shows the actor arriving at Bhansali’s office, and fans flooded social media with questions about a possible Bollywood debut or a nationwide film project.
So far, no official announcement confirms a Bollywood move. Sivakarthikeyan’s next outing is a period drama titled Parasakthi under the direction of Sudha Kongara. The film, his 25th, is set to hit theaters on January 14, the Pongal holiday, and is aimed at fans on both sides of the border.
Parasakthi was first shot in Madurai, then in Sri Lanka, and its third schedule filmed in Pollachi, Tamil Nadu. The story is set in the 1960s at Pachaiyappa’s College in Chennai (then Madras). The teaser shows Sivakarthikeyan’s character rallying students to protest against a new rule that forbids “students—do not touch.” The cinematography is handled by Ravi K Chandran and music is by G V Prakash. Notable co‑stars include Atharvaa, Ravi Mohan, and Sreeleela.
The teaser hints that Ravi Mohan’s character intends to kill Sivakarthikeyan’s protagonist, adding a dramatic edge to the plot. The film is also expected to feature high‑energy stunts by Supreme Sundar.
As fans continue to speculate about a potential Bollywood debut, the next milestone for Sivakarthikeyan remains the release of Parasakthi. Keep an eye out for official statements from the actor or his team that might confirm whether the Tamil star is heading to Bollywood or staying grounded in pan‑Indian cinema.
