Mumbai, Oct 15 – Television legend Smriti Irani – known as Tulsi in the hit serial Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi – posted a smiling selfie with fellow star Sakshi Tanwar, who plays Parvati in Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki. The photo, shared on Instagram, looked like a snapshot straight out of their classic shows, with both actresses wearing the same traditional sarees they famously wore on set.
In a heartfelt caption, Irani reflected on their decades‑long friendship. “Grace, grit and gorgeousness – I can list all these for Sakshi,” she wrote. “But I can’t explain how it feels to see her here after 25 years, to remember the moments we made together. We never aimed to make history – we did it while chasing excellence.”
She added a warm tribute to Tanwar’s character and real life: “Sakshi is a loving mother, a doting daughter and a real human being. Calling her all this is just words, but she makes even silence speak. You’re loved, Sakshi, and you’re home, hope and all heart.”
The post comes as the two shows line up for a historic crossover episode. Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi Season 2 will bring Tulsi and her on‑screen husband Mihir Virani (played by Amar Upadhyay) into the world of Parvati and Om Agarwal (played by Sakshi Tanwar and Kiran Karmarkar). Fans expect a nostalgic showdown that recalls the golden era of Indian family drama.
- Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki celebrates its 25th anniversary this month, and its years of success are still fresh in viewers’ minds. Together, these shows defined the “bahu” (daughter‑in‑law) archetype on Indian television and set the standard for drama families worldwide.
Both Irani and Tanwar’s popularity earned them rare spots on the Bollywood‑centric talk show Koffee with Karan, a testament to their status as television royalty.
