Mumbai—Actor Suniel Shetty celebrated his daughter Athiya Shetty’s 33rd birthday on Wednesday. The “Dhadkan” star posted a photo of the pair together in a café on his official Instagram account and wrote, “Wishing my (heart emoji) heart in a human form, a beautiful soul…happy birthday, baby…keep shining, keep believing, keep being you.”
Suniel often shares heart‑warming messages about his close bond with Athiya, and he is also known to be very fond of her husband, cricketer KL Rahul. The couple began dating in 2019, married in January 2023 at Suniel’s farmhouse in Khandala, and welcomed their first child, a baby girl named Evaarah, on March 24, 2025.
Athiya started her Bollywood career with the romantic film Hero in 2015, where she starred opposite Sooraj Pancholi. She followed that with lead roles in Mubarakan (2017) and Motichoor Chaknachoor (2019) alongside Nawazuddin Siddiqui. After a few successful projects, Athiya decided to step back from acting.
Suniel’s next big role comes in the upcoming comedy Welcome to the Jungle, directed by Ahmed Khan. It’s the third installment of the popular Welcome franchise and brings together stars like Akshay Kumar, Raveena Tandon, Disha Patani, Aftab Shivdasani, Jacqueline Fernandez, Arshad Warsi, and Tusshar Kapoor. Suniel is also attached to Hera Pheri 3, another film featuring Akshay Kumar.
