Tanya Maniktala teams up with Sunny Kaushal for the first time in the upcoming romantic music video “Jaana Nahi.” The duo shares the screen in this heartfelt project, and Tanya can’t stop raving about Sunny’s natural charm and skills on set.
The soulful track comes from singer Faheem Abdullah and drops today, September 23. Chatting with , Tanya shared her thrill: “Working on this music video has been a wonderful experience. It’s my first time teaming up with Sunny Kaushal, who brings so much ease and talent to the screen.”
She also shouted out director Jayprad Desai for his sharp vision that pulls everything together. Tanya mentioned how much she loved their previous collab in “Phir Aayi Haseen Dilruba.” “The song captures a heartfelt story, and shooting against the stunning backdrops of Maharashtra and Goa made it all the more magical,” she added.
On the acting front, Tanya gears up for “Paan Parda Zarda,” a gritty web series diving into the dark world of gangsters and illegal opium smuggling in central India. Expect intense drama, complex characters, and high-octane action. The cast includes Priyanshu Painyuli, Sushant Singh, Rajesh Tailang, and Manu Rishi.
The series, a Jio Studios production, got announced back in 2023 as an opium smuggling saga. Tanya’s been building her career steadily since her debut in 2018’s “School Days.” Her big break came in 2020 with “A Suitable Boy,” where she played Lata Mehra opposite Ishaan Khattar.
In 2021, she popped up in Netflix’s “Feels Like Ishq” with Skand Thakur, “Chutzpah” alongside Varun Sharma, and “How To Fall In Love” with Ayush Mehra. That year, she also made her Hindi film debut in “Mumbaikar” starring Vijay Sethupathi and Vikrant Massey.
Tanya kept the momentum going with roles in “Tooth Pari” opposite Shantanu Maheshwari, the web series “P.I. Meena,” and “Flames Season 3.” This year, she stepped into “Kill” as Tulika, sharing the screen with Lakshya.
