Hyderabad – Actress Srinidhi Shetty is set to break away from her usual high‑octane action films with a new Telugu romantic entertainer called Telusu Kada, directed by stylist‑turned‑filmmaker Neeraja Kona.
During a press event for the film, Shetty said the role she’s playing—named Raaga—feels fresh and unlike anything she’s done before. “It’s a story you won’t expect a love triangle, but it has a twist that will surprise you,” she added, hinting at a unique plot point that she can’t reveal yet.
The actress explained that the film was a welcome change after her recent hits like KGF and Hit Three, which were packed with action and bloodshed. “I’m excited to do a light‑hearted romantic movie for the first time,” she said. “Telusu Kada is bright and fun, and I’m sure audiences will enjoy it.”
Alongside Shetty, Raashi Khanna plays the second heroine, Anjali, while Sidhu Jonnalagadda takes on the male lead. The film comes from People Media Factory, the same studio behind the blockbuster Mirai.
Fans can expect Telusu Kada to hit theaters on October 17.
