Los Angeles, September 15: Get ready for some Emmy magic! The fresh comedy series The Studio just made TV history by grabbing the most awards ever for a comedy show. At the Primetime Emmy Awards on Sunday night, it scooped up a whopping 13 trophies, leaving everyone buzzing.
This beats the old record set by FX’s The Bear in 2023, when it won 10 Emmys, including Outstanding Comedy Series and three acting honors. The Studio didn’t just win big—it owned the night!
Seth Rogen stole the spotlight too. He tied the record for the most Emmys one person has won in a single evening, joining legends like Moira Demos (2016), Amy Sherman-Palladino (2018), and Dan Levy (2020). Rogen walked away with two major prizes: Lead Actor in a Comedy Series and Directing for the episode "The Oner," which he shared with Evan Goldberg. The show later nabbed Writing in a Comedy Series for its pilot "The Promotion." This win made Frida Perez a trailblazer—she became the first Latino to snag an Emmy for comedy writing, the first Latina to win in any comedy category, and just the second Latino ever to win as a producer in a top Emmy series.
The cherry on top? The Studio clinched the ultimate award for Outstanding Comedy Series, capping off an unforgettable evening.
But the wins didn’t stop there. At the earlier Creative Arts Emmys, the show already racked up nine awards, including Guest Actor in a Comedy Series for Bryan Cranston, plus tech nods for cinematography, casting, and sound mixing.
With 23 nominations total, The Studio also smashed the record for the most nods for a debut comedy series, topping Ted Lasso‘s 20 from 2021. It even tied The Bear as the most-nominated comedy ever. What a debut for this hilarious hit—Emmy Awards fans are loving every bit of it!
