Tom Holland dodged a major scare on the set of his upcoming Spider-Man movie. The actor, known for swinging into action as the web-slinger, took a tumble during a stunt, but new details show it was just a bump on the head—not the mild concussion first reported.
On September 22, Holland, 29, rushed to a hospital after a pull ring line snapped while filming Spider-Man: Brand New Day at Leavesden Studios in Watford, England. Sources close to the production told The Sun’s Bizarre column that “the accident wasn’t as bad as people think.” They explained he got a knock on the head and has a suspected mild concussion, but he’s now resting easy. “No one wants him to rush back to set,” the insider added.
The mishap halted filming, pushing the restart in London back by two weeks. Good news for fans: it won’t delay the movie’s release, still locked in for July 31, 2026.
Holland appeared fine the next day, showing up at a London charity event with his girlfriend, actress Zendaya. The couple co-hosted a quiz night to raise funds for a family charity, proving he’s bouncing back quickly.
Holland’s path to Hollywood stardom started young. At age nine, he joined a dance class where a choreographer spotted his talent and got him an audition for Billy Elliot the Musical in London. After two years of training, he landed a supporting role in 2008, then took over the lead until 2010.
He jumped to the big screen in 2012 with The Impossible, playing a teen survivor in a tsunami disaster drama. From there, Holland went full throttle on acting, starring in films like How I Live Now and historical roles in In the Heart of the Sea and the TV series Wolf Hall. Now, he’s gearing up to reprise his iconic Spider-Man role in this fresh chapter.
