In Chennai on October 10, the makers of the pan‑Indian action thriller Kattalan announced that the film’s Thailand shoot has wrapped up. The news came from Cubes Entertainments, which posted a short clip of the unit on Instagram and wrote, “The hunt returns home as Thailand schedule wrapped up.”
The shoot in Thailand began on October 1, and the team had already shared earlier that the “action goes international” as the unit moved into a new phase of the film. Director Paul George, who also co‑wrote the story with Joby Varghese and Jero Jacob, is steering this high‑octane adventure that promises a mix of power, betrayal and deadly missions.
Leading the cast is Antony Varghese, known from the film Pepe, alongside actress Rajisha Vijayan. The film also features rapper Baby Jean, Telugu star Sunil—whose hit movies Pushpa (2021) and Pushpa 2 (2024) have been box‑office juggernauts—and veteran Malayalam actors Jagadeesh and Siddique. Supporting roles include Kabir Duhan Singh and actors Parth Tiwari, Anson Paul and fresh talent Shon Joy, who shot to fame with Alappuzha Gymkhana.
Cubes Entertainments, headed by producer Shareef Muhammed, who previously released the blockbuster Marco, is backing the project. Music comes from Ajaneesh Loknath, famous for the soundtrack of Kantara 2, while choreography is handled by Sharief. Costume design is by Dhanya Balakrishnan, cinematography by Renadive, and editing by Shameer Muhammed.
With the Thailand portion finished, the crew is ready to return to India for the remaining shoots. Fans of Indian action cinema are already buzzing about the star‑studded cast and the promise of high‑energy sequences that Cubes and Director George aim to deliver.
