Tragically, two young brothers from Kota lost their lives in a house fire early Sunday morning. Veer Sharma, a child TV actor known for his roles in popular shows like “Shrimad Ramayan” and “Veer Hanuman,” and his older brother Shaurya died from smoke inhalation while they slept alone on the fourth floor of their family’s building.
The fire broke out in the drawing room of their flat at Deepshree building around dawn. Reports say it started from a possible short-circuit, though police haven’t confirmed the exact cause yet. The blaze gutted the living area but didn’t spread to other rooms, leaving burn marks on nearby spots.
Neighbors spotted thick smoke pouring out and acted fast. They broke down the door, pulled the boys out, and rushed them to a nearby hospital. Sadly, doctors declared Veer and Shaurya dead on arrival due to suffocation.
At the time, their father, Jitendra Sharma—a teacher at a local coaching center—was at a bhajan event in Kota. Their mother, Rita Sharma, an actress, was away in Mumbai and hurried back after hearing the news. The family later donated the boys’ eyes to an eye bank, honoring their wishes.
Kota’s Superintendent of Police, Tejeshwani Goutam, shared that investigators suspect a short-circuit sparked the fire. “We can’t say for sure until the probe wraps up,” she added. Police have filed an FIR under Section 194 of the BNSS Act and are digging deeper into what went wrong in this heartbreaking child actor fire incident.
The brothers’ bodies were handed over to the family, leaving the community in shock over the sudden loss in this Kota house fire tragedy.
