Tamil actor Vishal got a big boost on the set of his upcoming action film Magudam when veteran star and director T Rajendar made a surprise visit. The visit happened at the massive set built at TR Gardens in Chennai, where the team is shooting key scenes.
Vishal shared a photo with T Rajendar—father of actor Silambarasan—on social media, calling him his favorite inspiration. "What else can I expect other than heartfelt wishes from my favourite person and actor, one and only #trajendhar sir," Vishal wrote. He added that the set at #TRGARDENS is the same spot where they filmed Mark Antony. "Always feel positive and inspired meeting this person. Let the action begin from today. A @gvprakash Musical!"
Sources say the TR Gardens set cost several crores to build, making it one of the grandest for a Tamil movie. Right now, the Magudam crew is filming a unique action sequence that mixes high-energy stunts with dance moves. It’s the first time stunt expert Dhilip Subbarayan and choreographer Dinesh have teamed up for something like this, promising an exciting blend for fans.
Actress Dushara Vijayan, who stars as one of the leads alongside Vishal and Anjali, has already wrapped up her scenes. The team finished their third schedule in Ooty and kicked off the final one in Chennai at TR Gardens.
This is Vishal’s 35th film as a lead actor, and shooting started on August 1 in Chennai. Produced by R B Choudary under Super Good Films—their 99th project, known for launching top Tamil filmmakers—the movie had a big launch with a pooja ceremony in July. Director Ravi Arasu is teaming up with Vishal for the first time, and Vishal is riding high after the massive hit Madha Gaja Raja.
The Magudam cast and crew shine with top talent behind the camera too. Cinematographer Richard M. Nathan is back with Vishal after their success on Madha Gaja Raja. Composer G.V. Prakash Kumar reunites with Vishal from Mark Antony to deliver the soundtrack. NB Srikanth handles editing, Durairaj leads art direction, and Vasuki Bhaskar designs the costumes.
Fans are buzzing about Magudam, especially with Vishal’s action-packed role and the fresh twists in store for Tamil cinema.
