What Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs ate for his birthday meal as he sits behind bars for prostitution charges
Last Tuesday, 56‑year‑old Sean “Diddy” Combs celebrated his birthday not at a party, but inside a New Jersey prison. The former hip‑hop mogul is serving a 50‑month sentence after a conviction on prostitution charges.
Diddy’s special day at Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) Fort Dix began early. Breakfast arrived around 6:30 a.m., offering fruit, bran flakes or breakfast cake, whole‑wheat bread with jelly, skim milk, margarine, and sugar substitutes. Lunch, served between 11 a.m. and noon, let inmates choose between chicken parmesan or a chickpea burger, pasta with marinara, and spinach. Side options included garlic or whole‑wheat bread, and guests could pick fruit or dessert.
Dinner came at 4:30 p.m. and gave a choice between cheese pizza or navy beans, plus an Italian pasta salad, green beans and a garden salad with dressing and a beverage. Inmates can also buy treats from the commissary—cheesecake squares, Pop‑Tarts and honey buns are among the options.
After a July trial that found him guilty on two prostitution counts but not guilty on accusations of sex trafficking and racketeering, Diddy received a four‑year sentence in early October. He was transferred to FCI Fort Dix on Oct. 30, the military‑base facility about 40 miles from Philadelphia, after lawyers cited better conditions and a chance to participate in the RDAP rehabilitation program.
The first photos from his new home show the gold‑label founder in a gray sweatshirt set, sneakers, beanie and blue coat, smiling beside other inmates in the yard. His release is scheduled for May 8, 2028.
This unusual birthday inside a New Jersey prison highlights how celebrity convictions can lead to unexpected turns in the U.S. justice system.
