Mumbai, September 3 – Actor Gulshan Devaiah, known for movies like ‘Shaitan’, ‘Hunterrr’, ‘Guns & Gulaabs’, and ‘Dahaad’, recently shared a fun story about his memorable encounter with Bollywood veteran Jackie Shroff, famously called the “coolest Bhidu in town.”
A clip from a podcast with Cyrus Broacha has gone viral, where Gulshan recalls meeting Jackie for the first time. He revealed that their first official meeting took place in 2013 during the closing ceremony of the International Film Festival of India (IFFI). Gulshan said, “I was hosting the event and met him during the CM’s dinner. I told him, ‘I was really looking forward to introducing myself to you.’”
Gulshan shared that about a year or two later, he met Jackie again at an award function. “He was very warm and gracious,” Gulshan said. He asked Jackie, “Do you remember me?” Jackie responded, “Yes, you are the one who clicked the picture with me that day.” Gulshan laughed and said, “That’s such a blessing! Whenever I forget someone, I can just say, ‘You are the one with whom I clicked the picture,’ and I’m good to go!”
Apart from these fun stories, Gulshan has also talked about his approach to acting. He believes humor is a powerful tool to add depth to his characters on screen. “Finding humor in a scene can really change things up,” he explained. “It helps open a small window to explore the character further and gives the scene a different dimension.”
Gulshan emphasized that he loves to incorporate humor, especially in entertaining movies like ‘Bad Cops,’ where it fits naturally without stepping out of his character’s realm. His versatile acting style makes him a favorite among fans and critics alike.
