Mumbai, Oct. 21 – In a recently resurfaced clip from Kapil Sharma’s show, Bollywood actor Gulshan Grover shared a humorous story about veteran star Shatrughan Sinha’s notorious habit of arriving late on movie sets.

Gulshan, who has worked with Shatrughan on several films, told the audience that Sinha often lags behind the schedule. “He’s like an elder brother,” he said. “If I show this to him, he might even give me a good scolding.” Shatrughan, who has given Gulshan many roles, is known for his relaxed attitude toward punctuality.

The actor recounted that on the first day of shooting a new film, he told the director he’d be out by 2:00 p.m. because he had another shoot that same morning. The director suggested he pitch the change to Shatrughan. Gulshan headed to the veteran’s house the night before the shoot for a friendly meal. Afterwards, he proposed, “If you can arrive at 12:00 p.m. tomorrow, I can leave the studio at 2:00 p.m. and head to my next shoot.” Shatrughan agreed.

When the next day came, Gulshan was ready at 11:00 a.m., but Shatrughan didn’t arrive until 4:45 p.m., sipping tea long after the planned start time. While Shatrughan was shooting his own sequences, Gulshan’s second film was already underway.

Later, the veteran pulled Gulshan aside and said, “The producer is using you for a short window, but next time another producer may replace you. If you keep your timing tight, I can help you get roles in five more movies.” He promised to stick to the schedule from then on.

The clip, which gained traction on social media, shows the camaraderie and quirks that often keep Bollywood productions running smoothly while highlighting a legendary actor’s friendly lability on set.
