Chennai, November 3 – Actress Anupama Parameswaran, who co‑stars with Dhruv Vikram in the hit Tamil film Bison, posted a behind‑the‑scenes clip on Instagram. The video shows her sweating under the sun with oil on her face, chopping wood, washing utensils, riding a bike, planting saplings and even making bricks.
In her caption, Anupama thanked director Mari Selvaraj and said that calling Bison “beyond cinema” meant the experience was more than just a film shoot. “It was a journey through the soil, the people, and the spirit of a place that changed something in me,” she wrote. “Every day felt like a workshop—learning, unlearning, and living among stories that breathe truth.” She ended by saying she loved the film set and credited the team for making cinema feel like life itself.
Bison opened in theaters on October 17 and quickly became a blockbuster. The story, inspired by true events, follows a kabaddi player’s struggle and triumph. Dhruv Vikram, who plays the lead, posted a moving note on Instagram after filming wrapped up. He reflected on the months of hard work, saying the experience had transformed him.
The film’s cast includes Anupama, Dhruv, Lal, Pasupathy, Rajisha Vijayan, Hari Krishnan, Azhagam Perumal, Aruvi Madhanand and Kalaiyarasan. Production was led by Applause Entertainment in partnership with Pa Ranjith’s Neelam Studios. Cinematography was handled by Ezhil Arasu K, while editing came from Sakthi Thiru. The movie was co‑produced by Sameer Nair, Deepak Saigal, Pa Ranjith and Aditi Anand.
The video and the film’s success underline how Bison has captured audiences not just with its story but also with its real‑world, grounded approach.
