Delhi CM Rekha Gupta to Begin 3-day Bihar poll campaign from today

Rekha Gupta, the Delhi chief minister, landed in Patna on Friday to kick off a high‑intensity tour that will help the NDA team in the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections.

The campaign will last three days with over a dozen public meetings and roadshows. She will visit 12‑15 constituencies, including seats that will vote on November 6 and 11.

Her itinerary

  • Nov. 4: Siwan, Barharia, Baikunthpur
  • Nov. 5: Gaura Bauram, Arwal, Gaya City, Aurangabad
  • Nov. 6: Bhagalpur, Warisaliganj, Hisua, Dinara

After the rallies she will return to New Delhi in the evening of November 6.

The announcement came the same day that BJP president J.P. Nadda chaired a meeting of party secretaries in Delhi. Gupta’s visit marks her third trip to Bihar for election campaigning, and she will be joined by senior BJP leaders, allies, candidates and party workers.

In a related rally earlier in the month, Union Home Minister Amit Shah took a scathing tone at RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav and his wife Rabri Devi, blaming their 15‑year rule for lawlessness that shut down industries and sugar mills. He praised the Bihar Chief Minister, Nitish Kumar, for restoring order and attracting development.

Shah also promised the Centre would restart shutdown sugar mills, starting with the Riga facility, to boost prosperity for Bihar’s sugarcane farmers.

Election day in Bihar is set for November 6 (first phase) and November 11 (second phase), with results announced on November 14. The NDA is counting on Rekha Gupta’s energy and the party’s roadshows to win key seats across the state.
