Delhi government to launch mobile Ayurveda unit to reach more people
The Delhi government is taking new steps to promote Ayurveda and holistic healthcare. Health Minister Pankaj Kumar Singh announced on Thursday that a mobile outreach unit will soon be launched to make Ayurveda more accessible to residents across the city.
This initiative aims to spread awareness about traditional Indian medicines, including Ayurveda, Yoga, Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha, and Homeopathy—collectively known as AYUSH. The goal is to help more people benefit from natural treatments and promote overall wellness.
During the 19th Governing Council Meeting of the Chaudhary Brahm Prakash Ayurved Charak Sansthan (CBPACS) in Najafgarh, Minister Singh praised the institute’s progress and highlighted its potential to become a leading center for Ayurvedic education and research in India.
He emphasized the importance of increasing public awareness about the treatments available at CBPACS to help more Delhiites access these traditional therapies. The government plans to improve the institute’s infrastructure and services and is setting up a new International Wellness Center focused on stress relief and mental health using traditional methods.
Minister Singh also announced plans to boost the research activities at CBPACS, with upcoming agreements with national and international partners to support innovation in Ayurvedic medicine.
To further promote Ayurveda, the government will also establish a mobile outreach unit to connect with the community directly, making it easier for people to learn about and access Ayurvedic treatments.
The meeting was attended by senior officials and experts from the AYUSH sector, including prominent figures from government and educational institutions, all working together to enhance Ayurveda’s role in public health.
This move shows Delhi’s commitment to holistic healthcare and providing accessible, natural healing options to its residents.
