New Delhi – India’s biggest deep‑tech showcase, the Emerging Science Technology Innovation Conclave 2025 (ESTIC 2025), kicked off on Tuesday, drawing attention to the country’s rapid science and technology growth. The three‑day event runs from 3‑5 November at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, and will host more than 3,000 participants from academia, research, industry and government. Nobel laureates, leading scientists, innovators and policymakers will converge to share breakthroughs and spark new collaborations.
Union Minister of State for Science and Technology Jitendra Singh highlighted the conclave’s significance on social media platform X. He posted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had recently unveiled three landmark Indian innovations backed by the Department of Science & Technology:
- QSIP – India’s own quantum security chip.
- 25‑qubit QPU – the country’s first quantum computing chip, promising a new era of advanced computation.
- CAR‑T cell therapy – India’s inaugural indigenous cancer‑cell treatment, combining two therapeutic chips with one therapy platform.
“These breakthroughs signal India’s rise as a global science and technology powerhouse,” Singh added.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Singh praised the Prime Minister for prioritizing science and innovation over the past decade. He recalled “Startup India” and “Standup India” initiatives launched from the Red Fort, which have nurtured 170,000 companies and positioned India as the world’s third‑largest startup ecosystem. Singh also highlighted other milestones announced from the Red Fort, including the Gaganyaan crewed lunar mission, the Bio E3 biopharma initiative, rapid vaccine development, and the Deep Ocean Mission.
ESTIC 2025 aims to give young innovators, startups and researchers a platform to display new ideas, find mentors and connect with industry stakeholders. With the theme “Imagine, Innovate, Inspire,” the conclave marks the final stretch of India’s journey toward its 2047 vision.
