New Delhi, Dec 9 (LatestNewsX) – Adani Group Chairman and Founder Gautam Adani announced a new vocational training initiative for differently‑abled people and unveiled a cloud kitchen in Dhanbad, Jharkhand.
While visiting the state to mark the centenary of the Indian Institute of Technology (the Indian School of Mines) Dhanbad, the industrialist dropped by Pehla Kadam, a school operated by the Narayani Charitable Trust that serves children with disabilities.
There, he launched a food‑and‑beverage training programme for the students at the school, a move that has already captured the attention of the community.
Dr Anita Angarwal, director of Pehla Kadam, praised Adani for taking the time to meet and hand‑shake each child, and for pledging financial support. She told LatestNewsX, “After seeing the work of Divyang and how they’re treated, Gautam Adani has promised Rs 1 crore per year for three years to Pehla Kadam.” Angarwal added, “I have no words for him. He interacted with and shook hands with each child. Watching his affection for the kids, I could hardly believe such a busy entrepreneur spent so much time with them. It’s a big achievement for me.”
Earlier in his speech at IIT Dhanbad, Adani urged students to become the next “Bharat’s freedom fighters” and to help India reach “economic and resource independence.” “You, my young friends, are the next generation of Bharat’s freedom fighters,” he said. “In this struggle … you’re not just extracting resources—you’re extracting sovereignty. You’re not just mining minerals—you’re mining dignity.”
He went on to encourage the campus to “dream fearlessly, act relentlessly,” embrace innovation, and build a confident, self‑reliant India by becoming the custodians of its core capabilities.
