In Bhopal on Monday, Madhya Padh’s Governor Mangubhai Patel called on citizens to jump into the fight against tuberculosis (TB). Speaking as the state’s TB Association launched its 76th TB Seal Campaign, the governor urged people to volunteer and help keep the disease under control.
Patel said that giving a hand to TB patients is a “noble act” that benefits both the community and those who help. “True meaning of life comes from serving humanity and helping the suffering,” he told the gathering. The governor emphasized that TB thrives when it stays hidden. “Early diagnosis, regular medication, and a good diet can cure even the worst cases,” he added.
The new TB Seal Campaign will run rallies, posters, and community meetings to raise awareness—especially in remote villages where information is scarce. Governor Patel stressed the importance of reaching people in deprived areas, noting that “dissemination of information is the first step toward eradication.”
He also praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas” slogan, saying it gives the TB Mukt Bharat drive the momentum it needs to make India—and Madhya Padh—TB‑free.
For TB patients, Patel offered practical advice. “Take your pills on time and finish the full course,” he said. “Balance your diet with coarse grains, stay hydrated, get enough sleep, and stay active. A healthy lifestyle helps recovery.”
The governor’s message is clear: the fight against TB needs everyone’s effort. By spreading knowledge, early detection, and healthy habits, citizens can help end TB in Bhopal and across Madhya Padh.
