Kerala is gearing up to host a two-day national workshop focused on boosting digital solutions in the Ayush sector. The Ministry of Ayush announced this exciting initiative on Saturday, set to kick off on September 18 and 19 in Kottayam.
This event promises to bring together experts and officials to build a smarter, more connected digital framework for Ayush – that’s traditional Indian medicine including Ayurveda, Yoga, Unani, Siddha, and Homeopathy. The goal? To create a centralized system that standardizes practices, cuts down on repeats, scales up efficiently, supports data-driven decisions, and makes services easier for everyday people.
You’ll see a powerhouse lineup of participants: top officials from the Ministry of Ayush, state ministers, administrators from across India’s states and union territories, mission directors, state Ayush department officers, IT pros from central and local levels, and specialists in digital health and e-governance.
During the workshop, they’ll dive into sharing success stories and IT innovations from different regions. The Ayush Grid team will guide everyone on the central government’s latest tech tools. Key discussions will cover everything from program management and patient care to monitoring systems, human resources, data handling, and even financial tracking in the Ayush world.
The Ministry expects big wins from this gathering, like launching a national platform for sharing knowledge on IT-powered Ayush services. They’ll also craft a blueprint for uniform digital adoption nationwide and suggest ways to sync Ayush systems with the National Digital Health Mission and other major e-health drives.
Overall, this workshop is a game-changer for digital transformation in Ayush. It will spark collaboration between states, lay out a clear path for a modern Ayush digital health ecosystem in India, and help traditional medicine go high-tech for better reach and impact.
After the sessions, attendees will head out on a two-day field trip to explore Ayush facilities in Kottayam, Alappuzha, and Thrissur districts, getting a hands-on look at how these systems work on the ground.
