“Big project with Indian government,” German Envoy lauds German project’s success in agricultural sector

German Ambassador Philipp Ackermann visited Andhra Pradesh’s capital on October 7, talking to local leaders about boosting safer, greener farming. He met Chief Minister N Chandrabu Naidu and highlighted how Germany’s expertise is helping Indian farmers grow more with less waste.
Ackermann said Germany and India are already working together on a major project that encourages farmers to adopt natural, efficient methods. “We’re trying to make farming smarter and more sustainable,” he told the news agency . “The programme is taking off nicely.”
During the trip the ambassador also toured Germany’s initiatives in Kadapa district. He met with the state’s investment agency and other officials before promising more visits to see projects in Visakhapatnam and around the region.
“Andhra Pradesh is a powerhouse of India,” Ackermann told . “Its bold plans for technology, sustainability, infrastructure and agriculture give us a big role to play.” He added that he’d return to New Delhi soon to share the state’s progress with German officials.
The ambassador posted on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, echoing his excitement: “Great discussion with AP CM Naidu today. Impressed by the state’s ambitious plans on technology, sustainability, infrastructure and agriculture – and where Germany can play a role!”
This visit underscores Germany’s commitment to supporting India’s green‑agriculture push and boosting investment ties in the powerful southern state.
