Hyderabad, Nov 30 (LatestNewsX) – A group of twelve officers just finished their courses at the Navigation Training School (NTS) and the Weapons Systems School (WSS) located at Air Force Station Begumpet.
The 109ᵗʰ Advance Navigation Course (ANC) wrapped up with seven graduates: three from the Indian Air Force, two from the Indian Navy, one from the Indian Coast Guard, and one from the Royal Malaysian Air Force. These officers will step into instructor roles and carry those duties within their own services, according to a defence release issued on Sunday.
Meanwhile, the 141st ab‑initio Navigation Course saw six trainees graduate—five flight cadets from the IAF and an officer from the Sri Lankan Air Force.
The closing ceremony for the 109th ANC, the 141st ab‑initio, and the Stage II & III Weapon System (WS) course took place at Air Force Station Begumpet. Air Vice Marshal Sanjeev Kumar Taliyan, Assistant Chief of Air Staff for Intelligence, served as the reviewing officer.
During the function, trophies, medals and certificates were awarded to the top performers of each course.
The newly‑qualified flight cadets, now trained at NTS and WSS, will be commissioned as officers in the IAF during the Combined Graduation Parade held on December 13 at the Air Force Academy, Dundigal.
The Navigation Training School has long been a premier institution for aerial navigation, shaping flight cadets into skilled navigators and teaching advanced techniques to aviators from the IAF, Navy, Coast Guard, and partner nations over the past seven decades.
The Weapons Systems School, also based at Air Force Station Begumpet, brings together all weapon‑system operators under one specialized unit, delivering modern, effect‑based training to align officers with the IAF’s evolving needs.
