When Raveena Tandon revealed how ‘dad’ Kader Khan supported her during the most difficult time of her life
Raveena Tandon still cherishes the special bond she shared with the late Bollywood legend Kader Khan, who stepped up like a real father during her toughest moments. The actress opened up about this heartfelt connection on an old episode of the chat show “Jeena Isi Ka Naam Hai,” joining via video call to share her story.
Raveena explained why she always called Kader Khan “Dad.” “Hi, Dad! I love you so much,” she told him on the show, adding that it started because he played her father in so many films. “Wherever I meet him, I greet him with ‘Hi Dad,'” she said with a smile. But their relationship went way deeper. The two even became email buddies, swapping secrets and staying in touch like close family.
Things got emotional when Raveena talked about her darkest days. “When I was going through the most difficult time of my life, he put his hand on my head like a true father,” she shared. “He gave me so much love and guidance. I never thought he was just acting in those roles—he showed me real affection that I’ll always be grateful for.”
She promised to stand by him forever, just like a daughter would. “The way you cared for me, I can never thank you enough,” Raveena said directly to the camera.
The duo teamed up in several hit Bollywood movies, including “Dulhe Raja,” “Aatish: Feel the Fire,” “Main Khiladi Tu Anari,” “Gharwali Baharwali,” and “Akhiyon Se Goli Maare.” Sadly, Kader Khan passed away on December 31, 2018, in a Toronto hospital after a long illness. Raveena’s tribute reminds fans of the genuine warmth behind their on-screen chemistry.
