Mumbai actress Diana Penty is all set to star in the exciting new streaming series Do You Wanna Partner. Ahead of its big release, she opened up about what first caught her eye in the script during a chat with in Mumbai’s buzzing Khar area.
Diana couldn’t stop raving about the strong bond between the two female leads. "The friendship between these two girls really stood out to me," she shared. "It’s written so beautifully and feels super real—like the way I hang out with my own best friend. Their chats, the fun times they have, partying together, even starting a business and facing all the ups and downs, fights, and arguments—it’s all so everyday and genuine. Nothing feels forced or over-the-top."
For those who haven’t heard, Do You Wanna Partner dives into the story of two close friends who team up to launch their own alcohol brand. It’s a fresh take on female friendships, something Diana says we don’t see enough of on screen.
She added, "Watching these two characters was so refreshing. I can’t think of many recent shows or movies that put the friendship between two women front and center. Plus, it’s got this urban vibe—vibrant, fun, light-hearted, with a mix of drama and comedy. It’s an easy watch that keeps you hooked."
What really sealed the deal for Diana was how the series ties into today’s world. "In an era where startups are everywhere and the culture is booming, these two girls kicking off their own venture feels so relevant," she explained. "All these elements made the script impossible to resist."
