In Sukma district of Chhattisgarh, the 150th Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) has opened a new school, a Gurukul, in the village of Puvarti. The move comes after years of fighting against Naxalite rebels in the area. Now, the village is turning into a quiet hub of hope and learning.
The Gurukul offers more than 50 local children a fresh start. CRPF gives them free classes, uniforms, books, and nutritious meals. The school boasts modern classrooms, a playground, and dedicated teachers whose salaries are paid by the police force. Because of these resources, enrollment is growing every month.
CRPF officers do more than guard the borders—they act as mentors. They meet with students regularly, teaching discipline, values, and the importance of peace. We want to bring smiles, education, and hope to these children. They are the future of this land, and through them, peace will prevail.”
