Prime Minister Narendra Modi celebrated Teachers’ Day on September 5 with heartfelt messages, highlighting the vital role teachers play in shaping a brighter future. He praised their dedication to nurturing young minds and called them the foundation of a strong society. Modi also paid tribute to Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, India’s second president and a legendary teacher and philosopher, on his birth anniversary.

On social media platform X (formerly Twitter), PM Modi shared his greetings, saying, “Wishing everyone, especially hardworking teachers, a very happy Teachers’ Day! Teachers’ dedication to nurturing minds is the base of a stronger and brighter future. Their commitment and compassion are truly inspiring.” He also remembered Dr. Radhakrishnan’s contributions and wisdom.

Teachers’ Day is celebrated every year on September 5 to honor the birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. He was a respected scholar, philosopher, and former President of India who believed deeply in education. The day is dedicated to recognizing the hard work and positive impact of teachers across the country.

Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan praised teachers for helping students achieve their dreams. He shared a beautiful sand art created by renowned artist Sudarshan, paying tribute to Dr. Radhakrishnan. In his message, Pradhan said, “On Teachers’ Day, I salute all teachers helping students reach their full potential. Their dedication is shaping lives, fostering excellence, and contributing to India’s development.”

Defense Minister Rajnath Singh also extended his warm wishes to teachers. On X, he wrote, “Greetings to all teachers on Teachers’ Day. They are the guiding lights who shape young minds, instill values, and prepare future leaders. I also pay tribute to Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, whose wisdom continues to inspire generations.”

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath paid special tribute to Dr. Radhakrishnan, calling him an inspiration. He praised Radhakrishnan’s efforts in promoting Indian culture, Vedanta philosophy, and building a modern India rooted in education. Yogi Adityanath also extended festive wishes to the people of Uttar Pradesh on Teachers’ Day.

Every year on this day, India’s President presents the National Awards to Outstanding Teachers at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi. These awards recognize dedicated educators who have made a significant difference through their work and contributions.

Recently, Prime Minister Modi also interacted with the recipients of these prestigious awards. He emphasized that respect for teachers is a core value in Indian society and called them powerful contributors to nation-building. Modi stated that honoring teachers is more than a tradition; it’s a way to acknowledge their lifelong dedication and the positive impact they create.

Teachers’ Day continues to be a special occasion in India, celebrating those who shape the future through education. Their hard work and commitment remain the backbone of a better, more educated India.
