In the heart of New Delhi, the All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA) kicked off an exciting bike rally on Wednesday to celebrate Ayurveda Day 2025. This vibrant event focused on the theme “Ayurveda for People & Planet,” showcasing how Ayurveda boosts holistic health and supports environmental sustainability.
The rally started right from the AIIA campus, with Prof. (Dr.) Pradeep Kumar Prajapati, the institute’s Director, flagging it off. Joining him were former Director (I/C) Prof. (Dr.) Manjusha Rajgopala, department heads, faculty, postgraduate and Ph.D. students, and staff members, all adding to the lively atmosphere.
Riders pedaled from AIIA all the way to the Ministry of Ayush, waving flags with the Ayurveda Day logo and theme. This ride symbolized everyone’s shared pledge to preventive healthcare and eco-friendly living. The AIIA community turned out in full force, perfectly capturing the institute’s goal of promoting Ayurveda for a healthier, greener lifestyle.
Speaking at the event, Prof. (Dr.) Pradeep Kumar Prajapati shared his thoughts: “This rally brings out Ayurveda’s timeless message of balance—not just for our personal health, but for living in harmony with nature. We want to motivate young people and everyone to make Ayurveda a part of daily life.”
This year’s rally builds excitement for the national Ayurveda Day on September 23, a date the Government of India recently set for consistent global celebrations. It aligns with the autumnal equinox, representing nature’s balance—a key idea in Ayurveda.
The Ministry of Ayush and AIIA keep pushing forward with outreach programs, awareness campaigns, and partnerships to weave Ayurveda into everyday health routines while encouraging sustainable habits.
