On Sunday, Andhra Pradesh’s Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu took a pilgrimage to the newly consecrated Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir in Ayodhya. The visit was a personal one, and Naidu took to X to share his experience, writing:
“Today, I was blessed to have darshan and offer prayers at the divine and magnificent Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir in Ayodhya. It was a peaceful and spiritually uplifting experience to be here once again. Lord Shri Ram’s values and ideals are timeless lessons for us all. May they continue to guide and inspire us always.”
Arriving in Ayodhya, officials from the Uttar Pradesh government greeted him, and temple staff escorted him inside. The team provided a brief on the altar’s design and the spiritual symbols that adorn the new sanctum.
When questioned by reporters, Naidu noted that the temple is set to become a national spiritual center within the next two years, emphasizing that it will “play a significant role in strengthening spiritual values.” He added that good governance, in his view, is measured against the ideals of Ram Rajya, calling it “the best way of governance … the benchmark for any government.”
Naidu expressed gratitude toward those who helped bring the structure to life, explaining that it was built after the reconciliation achieved through the judicial process. He also praised the Uttar Pradesh administration and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for their role in the project.
This trip marked Naidu’s first personal visit to the shrine since taking office. The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) had attended the temple’s inauguration—Pran Pratishtha—on January 22, 2024, one of the few non‑BJP leaders invited by the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust.
After the successful alliance campaign between the TDP, BJP, and Pawan Kalyan‑led Jana Sena Party (JSP), Naidu emerged as Chief Minister and positioned his party as a key partner in the central BJP‑led National Democratic Alliance.
