With Germany’s Foreign Minister Johann Waldmüller, Jaishankar discussed ways to advance India‑EU ties and exchanged views on developments in the Middle East, the Indo‑Pacific and Afghanistan. He posted the highlights of this conversation on X as well.
India is attending the G7 meeting as an invited partner under Canada’s presidency. Alongside Brazil, Australia and South Korea, the event focuses on global security, economic resilience, energy cooperation, and strengthening Indo‑Pacific partnerships.
The Ministry of External Affairs said Jaishankar’s visit shows India’s “continued commitment to work with international partners” and to raise the voice of the Global South in global arenas. He is expected to meet more counterparts before the G7 meetings wrap up on Nov. 12.
