Bihar polls: Tejashwi Yadav reiterates job pledge in Nawada and Gaya

Tejashwi Yadav struck a rally in Nawada’s ITI ground on Saturday, calling on voters in the district’s five assembly seats to back the Mahagathbandhan’s candidates. The RJD leader, who is the alliance’s chief ministerial face, spoke loudly about state‑wide promises and aimed to keep Bihar ahead of the curve.

Stand‑up rally in Nawada

Yadav went straight to the point, warning that 30 helicopters had followed Prime Minister Narendra Modi back to the region. He said these flights were a sign that outsiders were trying to take control of Bihar, but the state’s own helicopters would always be ahead.

The RJD chief laid out his key commitments: one government job per household if the alliance wins; free electricity for irrigation; and lifting the prohibition law for the Pasi community. He also promised a Bihar that doesn’t force people to leave for jobs and asked voters to support the five alliance candidates—Kaushal Yadav in Nawada, Anita Devi in Warsaliganj, Neetu Singh (Congress) in Hisua, Pinky Bharti in Rajouli and Purnima Yadav in Govindpur.

What he said

Yadav told the crowd, “The three‑four‑five‑six‑seven‑eight‑nine k directly, let us keep it quiet, so the lantern remains strong.” The rally was his first joint meeting covering all five Nawada constituencies, and he urged supporters to turn out quietly for the election.

Support from other allies

The event also saw Samajwadi Party MP Iqra Hasan campaigning in the Belaganj segment of Gaya Ji district for RJD’s Vishwanath. During her speech, Hasan told voters that the people of Bihar were tired of empty promises and that a wave of change was coming. She called Vishwanath “educated, honest, and ready to raise public issues in the assembly.”

Former Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav joined the gathering, praising the district’s history of justice and development and giving a confidence boost to Vishwanath’s campaign. Other Grand Alliance leaders—Jahanabad MP Surendra Yadav, Samajwadi Party MP Afzal Ansari—were also present.

Rally slogans and atmosphere

Slogans such as “RJD Zindabad” and “Mahagathbandhan Vijay ho” rang throughout the rally. Local residents said the joint presence of Tejashwi Yadav and Iqra Hasan had energized the election atmosphere and added excitement to Bihar’s upcoming election.

The rally highlights the Mahagathbandhan’s push to win over voters in key districts as the 2025 Bihar elections approach.
