The latest Bihar assembly results have given the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) a clear edge in Vaishali district, with the BJP‑JDU partnership taking six of the seven seats. Only Raghopur kept a Grand Alliance hold, where Chief Ministerial hopeful Tejashwi Yadav won his seat by a comfortable margin.
Raghopur
Tejashwi Yadav defended his stronghold against BJP’s Satish Kumar. He edged out the rival by 14,532 votes, keeping the seat in Grand Alliance hands.
Lalganj
The seat that had drawn attention because of Shivani Shukla, daughter of local figure Munna Shukla, turned out to be a BJP victory. Sanjay Kumar Singh beat the challenger by 32,167 votes.
Mahua
Mahua’s three‑way contest featured the BJP, RJD, and JJD. BJP’s Sanjay Kumar Singh claimed the seat, defeating RJD’s Mukesh Kumar Raushann. Lalu Prasad Yadav’s son, Tej Pratap Yadav, finished third. Sanjay won by a substantial 44,997‑vote margin.
Hajipur
BJP’s Awadesh Singh captured Hajipur, overcoming RJD’s Deo Kumar Chaurasia by 18,509 votes.
Vaishali
In the Vaishali assembly segment, JDU’s Sidhartha Patel won, beating RJD’s Ajay Kumar Kushwaha by 32,590 votes.
Raja Pakar (SC)
The Raja Pakar seat saw a friendly contest between the Congress’s Pratima Kumari and the CPI’s Mohit Paswan. JDU’s Mahendra Ram capitalised on the split, winning comfortably by 48,189 votes, while Pratima finished second.
Mahnar
Mahnar’s seat was a priority for JDU’s state president Umesh Singh Kushwaha. He defeated RJD’s Ravindra Kumar Singh with a margin of 35,558 votes.
These results underline the NDA’s solid performance across Vaishali, with only one seat—a critical foothold for the Grand Alliance—remaining outside its coalition. The numbers reflect strong voter support for the BJP‑JDU partnership in the district.
