New Delhi – The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is launching a country‑wide campaign called Sardar@150 to honor the 150th birthday of India’s first Home Minister, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. The move aims to spread Patel’s message of unity, integrity and strong nation‑building.
The campaign will run in three stages, beginning on October 31, Patel’s birth anniversary, and concluding on December 6, the day the nation remembers Babasaheb Ambedkar’s passing. In a pre‑campaign workshop at BJP headquarters in New Delhi, party leaders and workers—led by national president JP Nadda—were briefed on how to bring Patel’s vision to the grassroots.
Nadda stressed that every BJP worker should carry the idea of a united and powerful India into their local communities. He added that the Sardar@150 effort would inspire young people to help build what the party calls “Ek Bharat – Aatmanirbhar Bharat,” a self‑reliant and cohesive nation.
A high‑level review meeting chaired by National General Secretary Sunil Bansal also took place, where details of the rollout were discussed. The campaign’s theme revolves around the slogans “Ek Bharat, Aatmanirbhar Bharat, Ekjut Bharat, Viksit Bharat,” echoing Patel’s legacy of integration, self‑sufficiency and progress.
MPs, ministers, legislators and intellectuals are expected to take part in the campaign marches, symbolizing a collective resolve to revive Patel’s spirit of national unity. The BJP hopes the Sardar@150 initiative will motivate citizens—especially the youth—to contribute to a stronger, more self‑reliant India.
