In Hyderabad, a top leader from the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) party has slammed Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy for pushing what he calls the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) agenda in the state. Dasoju Sravan Kumar says Reddy’s Congress government is misleading Muslims and dismantling the cultural harmony that former CM K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) worked hard to protect over his 10-year rule.
Talking to on Wednesday, Kumar pointed out that the Telangana government is once again trying to trick the Muslim community. “The Ganga-Jamuni Tehzeeb— that beautiful blend of Hindu and Muslim traditions that KCR preserved—is getting wrecked by Revanth Reddy and his team through these misleading moves,” he said.
Kumar went further, accusing the Congress-led Telangana administration of rushing to enforce the controversial Waqf Amendment Act, even though the issue is still under review in India’s Supreme Court. He highlighted that no other state in the country has tried this, making Telangana the only Congress-ruled one to attempt it amid the legal battle.
“Revanth Reddy is basically wearing a Congress hat while carrying out BJP’s plans in Telangana,” Kumar charged. “This is downright shameful. It’s hard to tell if they’re following Congress or BJP orders.”
So far, the Telangana Congress government hasn’t responded to these serious claims. Kumar also hit out at the administration for closing key programs and institutions that support Muslim welfare. He specifically mentioned the shutdown of the Presidential Welfare School for Muslims, claiming it’s part of a broader effort to harm the community.
“They want to wipe out Muslims entirely,” the BRS leader warned. “Now’s the time for people to hold them accountable.”
