The Calcutta High Court raised important questions on Wednesday about the mysterious death of two BJP workers in Khejuri, West Bengal. The case involves conflicting post-mortem reports that have left many questions unanswered.

On July 12, two BJP workers, Sujit Das and Sujit Paik, died during a public cultural event in their village. The police initially reported that their deaths were caused by electrocution. However, the families of the deceased believed they were murdered and filed for a second autopsy, which was ordered by the court.

The second autopsy was carried out at Kolkata’s S.S.K.M. Medical College & Hospital. This report revealed injury marks on the bodies of both men, raising suspicion and deepening the mystery.

During Wednesday’s court hearing, Justice Debangshu Basak and Justice Shabbar Rashidi questioned why the first autopsy didn’t mention any injury marks, while the second did. They also noted that the incident happened at a public event, yet no witnesses have come forward, which is unusual. The judges expressed concerns about witnesses being too scared to speak and urged the police to take steps to gather more evidence.

Justice Basak specifically asked the police to check the phone call details of the 17 people named as accused in the case. He emphasized that an investigation into these individuals is crucial to uncover the truth.

This case continues to attract attention as investigations unfold. People want to know what really happened to the two BJP workers and why their autopsy reports tell different stories. The court’s questions highlight the need for a thorough probe to bring clarity and justice in this sensitive case.
