Tejashwi Yadav Slams Bihar Deputy CMs Over Rising Crime and Corruption
In Patna, Bihar, RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav fired sharp shots at the state’s Deputy Chief Ministers, Vijay Sinha and Samrat Chaudhary, during his ongoing Bihar Adhikar Yatra. Speaking on Wednesday, Yadav took a clever dig at the worsening law and order situation, saying criminals in Bihar now act like "Vijay and Samrat." He painted a grim picture of a state where fear rules the streets and bribes grease every wheel.
Yadav, who once served as Bihar’s Deputy Chief Minister, didn’t hold back while chatting with on the yatra’s second day. "The public is totally fed up with this corrupt government," he said. "You can’t get any work done without paying a bribe. No one feels safe anymore. Criminals have turned into Vijay and Samrat. People are struggling with unemployment and skyrocketing inflation. Bihar’s folks will make the 20-year-old ‘khatara’ (rundown) government pay for it. The NDA will lose big in the next elections."
The RJD chief promised a brighter future if his party grabs power. He vowed to tackle Bihar unemployment head-on by ensuring jobs for every degree holder. "If our government comes, no one with a degree will sit idle at home," Yadav declared confidently. "Everyone will get jobs and real employment opportunities. Tejashwi always delivers on his promises. We’ll wipe out unemployment from Bihar for good."
Yadav also shared that his Bihar Adhikar Yatra is getting massive public support. "We’re seeing huge backing from people everywhere," he added. "But the law and order mess is out of control—criminals are running wild like Vijay and Samrat."
The yatra kicked off on September 16 in Jehanabad, aiming to spotlight key issues like youth unemployment in Bihar, women’s rights, teacher respect, and fixes for the health and education systems. It fills gaps left by the Congress-led Voter Adhikar Yatra, covering districts such as Begusarai, Khagaria, Madhepura, and wrapping up on September 20 in Vaishali.
As Bihar gears up for a high-stakes electoral battle, the ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA) under Chief Minister Nitish Kumar faces off against the opposition INDIA bloc, which includes the RJD and Congress. In the 243-member Bihar Assembly, the NDA holds 131 seats—BJP with 80, JD(U) with 45, HAM(S) with 4, plus support from 2 Independents. The INDIA bloc has 111 seats, led by RJD’s 77 MLAs, Congress with 19, CPI(ML) with 11, CPI(M) with 2, and CPI with 2.
With tensions rising over Bihar politics, law and order, and unemployment, Yadav’s yatra is stirring up conversations across the state. Will it sway voters ahead of the polls? Only time will tell.
