Delhi’s Tourism Minister Kapil Mishra stepped out on November 10 to join the festive celebrations of Bharat Parv 2025 at the Statue of Unity in Ekta Nagar, Gujarat. The event marked the first time the national cultural festival was staged outside the capital.
Mishra’s visit aimed to give Delhi’s creative community a national platform. He encouraged a group of 65 artists from the capital, who came together for “Delhi Day,” to keep Delhi’s cultural vibrancy alive on a historic stage. The performers showcased music, dance, folk art, and drama, offering a taste of the city’s rich heritage to viewers across the country.
The Ministry of Tourism, in partnership with the Government of Gujarat, organized the festival to celebrate each state’s unique traditions. Gujarat’s Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi also attended, underscoring the event’s broad support.
Bharat Parv 2025 is dedicated to the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the “Iron Man of India.” Mishra highlighted how the festival honors Patel’s vision of unity, saying, “Bharat Parv is more than a celebration of art; it is a showcase of unity, pride, and identity.”
He added that Delhi’s arts represent the heart of India—its diversity reflected in music, dance, and tradition. Performing at the Statue of Unity, a symbol of national strength, he said, turns cultural exchange into a powerful celebration of emotional unity across the country.
