Delhi Police Bust Major Arms Smuggling Ring in Separate Raid
Just hours earlier, the Delhi Police Crime Branch scored a big win by cracking down on an illegal arms smuggling network. They nabbed one key supplier and three buyers during a sting operation in the Netaji Subhash Place area. Officers seized a whopping 15 pistols, eight extra magazines, and 150 live rounds from the gang.
DCP Crime Harsh Indora shared the details with , explaining how the bust went down. "We got a solid tip-off that Mohammad Sajid, a well-known arms supplier, was about to deliver a big batch of weapons in Pitampura," Indora said. The team tracked Sajid’s car and pounced, recovering the entire cache right there.
Under questioning, Sajid spilled the beans. He admitted to sourcing pistols from Meerut for around Rs 30,000-35,000 each and flipping them to Delhi’s criminal underworld for Rs 50,000-55,000. One of his main clients? Sunny Jaswant, a key player in the notorious Neeraj Bawaniya gang. "Sajid’s been in this dirty business for years, supplying guns to various criminals across Delhi," Indora added. "We’ve got him now, and the probe is ongoing to catch more in the network."
