Delhi’s Taj Palace Hotel receives hoax bomb threat email

Delhi Faces Back-to-Back Hoax Threats: Hotel Email Scare Follows High Court Chaos

In a tense weekend for Delhi’s security teams, a luxury hotel in the national capital received a bomb threat email on Saturday, but police quickly ruled it out as a hoax. This comes just a day after a similar scare disrupted proceedings at the Delhi High Court.

The latest incident targeted the Taj Palace Hotel in New Delhi. According to Delhi Police, the hotel got an anonymous email warning of a bomb on the premises. Officers jumped into action right away, launching a full investigation and searching the entire building.

After a thorough sweep, nothing suspicious turned up. "The threat was a hoax," Delhi Police confirmed in a statement. A spokesperson for the Taj Palace Hotel added, "Following a detailed security check by authorities, we’ve been assured it’s a false alarm. Guest and staff safety remains our top priority, and we’re staying extra vigilant."

Police are now digging deeper to track down the email’s source and catch the prankster behind this bomb threat hoax in Delhi.

This hotel scare echoes Friday’s dramatic episode at the Delhi High Court, where an email bomb threat sent everyone scrambling. The message, sent from an address called kanimozhi.thevidiya@outlook.com, claimed three bombs were planted in the judge’s room and court areas. It urged evacuation by 2 pm and made wild accusations, like a "Pakistan Tamil Nadu collusion" for "Holy Friday blasts." The email even boasted about past "bluffs" and predicted a blast after midday prayers.

Panic spread fast as all court benches adjourned immediately. Lawyers, litigants, and staff rushed out of the Delhi High Court building, creating chaotic scenes. Security forces, including Delhi Police and bomb disposal squads, sealed off the area. Fire trucks and ambulances arrived as backup, while sniffer dogs combed every corner.

Thankfully, no explosives or suspicious items were found. Officials say the Delhi High Court bomb threat was another hoax, and they’re working hard to trace the sender and identify those responsible.

These back-to-back hoax incidents have raised concerns about fake bomb threats in Delhi, prompting stricter vigilance across key locations. Investigations continue on both cases to prevent future disruptions.
