Mila Kunis opens up about her first impressions of working with Daniel Craig on the set of the exciting new thriller “Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery.” The actress admits she felt a mix of excitement and uncertainty when she teamed up with the former James Bond star for director Rian Johnson’s latest project.
Kunis shared her thoughts in a candid chat with people.com, revealing that she had big expectations for their onscreen chemistry. “Rachel Weisz, Daniel’s wife, is such a wonderful human,” Kunis explained. “So I thought, ‘There’s no way he won’t be great to work with.'” But on the very first day, she wondered if things might turn awkward. “This could go either way,” she said. “It might be a really lovely production, or we’d all stay in our own bubbles.”
Things quickly changed for the better. Within the first two hours, Craig set an amazing tone for the entire cast and crew. Kunis praised how he made everyone feel at ease right away. “Every morning on set felt so welcoming,” she added. “‘We’ve got this, we’re going to have fun, work hard, and respect each other’—that’s the vibe he created every single day.”
Even with his packed schedule—starring in nearly every scene and delivering monologue after monologue—Craig stayed sharp and professional. “He knew exactly how to balance fun with the job,” Kunis said, highlighting his leadership on the “Knives Out” set.
