Gandhinagar, Nov 10 – Gujarat’s new chief secretary, Manoj Kumar Das, visited Governor Acharya Devvrat at the state’s Raj Bhavan today. The governor congratulated Das on his appointment and wished him success in leading Gujarat’s administration. He urged the new chief secretary to keep pushing for a transparent, citizen‑friendly government that works quickly and efficiently.
Das replied that his team of officers is committed to improving public service by introducing modern technology and innovative solutions. He promised to accelerate the processing of citizen applications so that government services become easier to access.
The governor also highlighted initiatives launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, such as the “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” and natural farming programs. He called on Gujaratis—especially young people and farmers—to join these eco‑friendly campaigns, which aim to boost green growth and self‑reliance across the country.
Later in the week, Odisha’s governor, Hari Babu Kambhampati, paid a courtesy visit to Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel. The Odisha governor was in Gandhinagar to attend the “Bharat Parv” celebrations at Ekta Nagar, part of the nationwide tribute to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s 150th birth anniversary. The event, themed “Ekta Prakash Parv,” runs until Nov 15 and features cultural performances from across India, underscoring the nation’s unity in diversity. The celebrations are organized under Modi’s “Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat” initiative, which encourages cross‑cultural appreciation among artists and dignitaries.
